European Organisation
Cochlear AG, the European headquarters for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA region), were established in Basel in 1982.
Today, Cochlear employs 270 people in this region. The company is active in 50 markets and operates directly in the Benelux, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey and the United Kingdom.
Our Nucleus cochlear implants are developed, designed and manufactured in Sydney, Australia; design, development and production of the bone-anchored Baha hearing implant is done by Cochlear™ Bone-Anchored Solutions (BAS) in Gothenburg, Sweden. Learn more about our products.
The Cochlear™ Technology Centre Europe (CTCE) in Mechelen, Belgium is a key centre of innovation, which develops new technologies, products and processes in the field of hearing implants.
